Frequently asked questions

What is the best app for forex trading?

In our tests the IG app is the most complete overall, XTB and CMC Markets are close behind, and eToro and Plus500 are the easiest for beginners. In the US, OANDA, FOREX.com, tastyfx and thinkorswim are the main regulated choices.

Are forex trading apps safe?

The app is only as safe as the broker behind it. Use an app from a broker regulated by a tier-1 authority in your country, turn on two-factor authentication and download it only from the official app store.

Can I trade forex on MT4 or MT5 on my phone?

Yes. MetaTrader 4 and 5 have free iOS and Android apps. You log in with the account details from your broker.

Risk warning: CFDs and leveraged forex are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly. Between roughly 60% and 89% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs, depending on the provider. Consider whether you understand how they work and can afford to lose your money.
